A Glimpse into my life….

So we live a pretty simple life, we have downsized in so many area of our life these past 2yrs. We live in a two bedroom yellow mobile home in the outskirts of Roseville, our front yard is a garden, we have chickens in the backyard and our a dog Kona who thinks he is a mother hen.  This might not sound fun or glamorous to you and that is fine with me, but for us this is home and this is fun!  Our three kids are enjoying life and we are embracing and being thankful for what we do have.  I am obviously a photographer and so I am capturing these moments and I treasure these little memories and I sure know that this time in my life will be over in a blink of an eye so I try to live in the moment.  A week in a half ago a little tragedy happened here at our little home.  I was putting the girls to bed and heard something in the backyard and then we heard our chickens screaming.  I instantly yelled and banged on the window to try and scare whatever it was back there but I was 30 sec too late.  A neighbor dog got into our yard and managed to open the side coop door and kill two our chickens.  Snow & Darth were the two that were killed, these were mine and our youngest Ari’s chickens.  The kids were devastated and so was I.  We talked about how this kind of stuff can happen and its a part of life and we were also able to show our neighbors grace by not making animal control take their dog away from them.   So it actually ended up being a great lesson for them and we were so lucky to get 4 more chickens this past week only a few days after the tragedy.   They are Buff  Orpingtons chickens and they are super cute yellow sweet chicks.  The kids are still figuring out names but our adventure and journey is continuing!  So here are some photos of the first time we took them outside to introduce them to our other two chickens.
