Josh and Kate have a love story like no other! I enjoy getting to hear about how couples met and I really enjoy when I get to hear stories like Josh + Kate’s. These two met at a Sushi Bar while Kate was on a casual date with his colleague. Kate instantly though he was handsome and recalled wondering why she wasn’t on a date with him instead. They had a very slow start to their relationship at least 4-6 months of development. Their first date didn’t go well, and Kate thought for sure they weren’t going to work out. But I remember asking them what changed and she said it changed once they went to s shooting range for a date. She then saw something in Josh she hadn’t yet seen. She described him as focused and determined and she realized with his job as a horse police he had to be that way. So they went on many more dates and it is so obvious to everyone these two are madly in love! They love sushi, traveling, their dog, hosting gatherings at their home, outdoor activities and doing yoga together.

They got married at The Bayley Barn in Pilot Hill located just south of Lake Tahoe in California. They kept everything simple and sweet and they made sure the timeline of their wedding day revolved around spending time with those they love. It was a beautiful sunny fall day & the guests were all nestled up in the shade of the glorious oak tree they got married under. It was such a fun wedding! All the guests enjoyed delicious food by Steve Lach w/ Mama Kim Cooks and desserts by Ettore’s and then DJ Gerry DeJesus with GDJ Entertainment got the party started and everyone danced the night away!
