Silcox Hut Wedding at Timberline Lodge {Government Camp, OR}

This was such a Magical Wedding! Timberline Lodge is amazing but when I saw Silcox hut I was amazed. It is a small rustic mid-mountain lodge located at 6,950 feet elevation on Mount Hood. It is approximately 1,000 feet vertical above Timberline Lodge and roughly one mile distance directly up the mountain & you can see it from Timberline lodge on a clear day. Silcox Hut was built by the WPA and finished in 1939 & is so rich with detail & design. It is beautiful. When Jacqui contacted me online and shared with me their love story, vision for their wedding and I instantly felt like I HAD to document this special day. We met soon after the first email & connected right away and of course they chose me & it was such an honor. The day was perfect! It was an adventure starting with getting to the hut; which included taking the Snow Cat up the mountain, it was a small intimate and joyous ceremony which was exactly what they envisioned! Everything went to plan & even though it was extremely freezing & the wind was very very strong we had a blast & spent a short window outside for some epic images!! They are adventurous and I LOVED it! I can’t wait to document their growing family & this mountain wedding will always be one of my favorites because it was extreme & yet so simple.
