West Shore Cafe Wedding {North Lake Tahoe, CA}

Lake Tahoe weddings are magical. It doesn’t matter what time of the year it is, magic always shows up here at the Lake. Lake Tahoe is my home away from home, I visit Lake Tahoe every year over 37years of my life now, and it is so special to meet others who share the same connection I do. Matt & Deanna have the same connection to Lake Tahoe. They love this place and it is also a second home to them, so it made sense to have their wedding celebration here. I know when they picked May for their wedding they did’t think there would be a possible snow storm…. But mother nature is unpredictable and their wedding day was day 1 of a huge storm system that was passing through. Some guests didn’t make it up afraid that they wouldn’t make it back down the mountain.

The rain came in around 3:30pm right before the ceremony and right after their first look. But they didn’t pick this location to have the ceremony indoors all crammed…. so they did what any adventurous couple would do they said we are having this wedding outside in the RAIN! It was glorious! It was a bit cold but beautiful! At dusk we went back outside and took a few photos when the snow started to fall softly. It was so magical, the air had a calmness, the snow was falling slow and the Lake was calm no sounds, just pure peace. It was magic! I will never forget it!

Matt & Deanna both told me they didn’t not think they were the ones…. they laughed about it. Deanna said he looked like Jonathan Davis from Korn hahahaaa and Matt said he tried to kiss her and she turned her head…. SO FUNNY! But as fate had it they realized later that they loved each other and that they had to spend the rest of their lives together. Thanks for picking me to document your magical wedding.
